Chicago-area sees 3.2 percent increase in use of public transit

Chicago-area transportation officials say there was a 3.2 percent increase in public transit use. The Regional Transportation Authority reported the numbers from the American Public Transportation Association. The association says 443.5 million passengers took trains and buses in the Chicago area through August. That includes the Chicago Transit Authority, Metra and Pace services.
